Moving Forward Towards Independence is a nonprofit, residential program in beautiful Napa, CA committed to guiding our residents to achieve their highest potential. By providing an environment that maintains a balance of challenges and support, Moving Forward fosters growth in social, vocational and interpersonal skills. Working in partnership with residents and their families, we offer a caring and responsive community where young adults with complex learning or mild developmental disabilities can enjoy productive, fulfilling and healthy lives.
We are currently recruiting for this newly formed position.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. PhD, MSW, MFT in Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, or related field preferred; a minimum of five year's experience working with adults with complex learning disabilities and/or mentalhealth disabilities required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for review and interpreting all psychological testing of current and prospective residents.
2. Assist Case Managers in the development and implantation of all Individual Support Plans
3. Attend weekly staff meetings and provide clinical consultation to staff as needed.
4. Teaching small group classes to the residents focused on developing better social and communication skills as well as other related life/independent living skills.
5. Develop class curriculum that will enable other staff to teach critical skill development classes
6. Act as agency liaison to Napa Community College and assist residents in signing up for classes and advocating for accommodations when needed
7. Provide training and support in areas that enable residents to maintain their own homes in the community of their choice.
8. Recruit and supervise college and master-level interns.
9. Responsible for maintaining professional conduct with clients and in maintaining confidentiality.
10. Attend all required trainings and professional development opportunities.
11. Utilize clinical expertise to help problem solve residents’ issues and support other staff.
Compensation: $30-35K/year for .5FTE position, DOE. MF is an EOE
