The Program Director develops, implements and manages all aspects of The Kidney TRUSTs programs, including chronic kidney disease (CKD) screening and education and financial assistance programs. The Program Director builds and maintains partnerships with private and public sector employers, community organizations, and other health-related entities in the implementation of the TRUSTs CKD prevention and early detection efforts. The Program Director is a key member of the TRUSTs management team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and manages CKD early detection strategy through implementing and refining the TRUSTs national CKD screening and education program Develops and oversees the implementation strategy for the TRUSTs financial assistance program for CKD and dialysis patients Creates program strategies and activities that further the TRUSTs goals and objectives Develops and nurtures relationships with potential and actual screening and CKD education partners, including commercial and nonprofit companies and public sector entities. Engages, supervises, and manages the work of staff, independent contractors, and volunteers Manages activities related to core program services, including: o Program planning and implementation, volunteer outreach o Program evaluation and quality assurance o Budget development and monitoring Prepares reports, presentations, and external communications requiring a high level of proficiency in analyzing and presenting information and data and facility with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Represents the TRUST with various constituencies as required Serves as senior member of the TRUSTs management team
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
At least five years of significant, relevant experience in program development, management, and administration in the nonprofit or for-profit sectors, preferably health-related; experience as a health care professional is desirable Bachelors degree required; masters degree in public health, public administration or business is desirable Demonstrated track record in successfully planning, developing, and implementing health, human service, or related programs and in achieving results Experience with event production desirable Exceptional project management skills, including developing and managing budgets Experience with database systems as management and analytic tools Excellent communication skills, strong strategic thinker Experience supervising and motivating staff, volunteers and contractors Excellent time management skills, self-starter and ability to multi-task
