JOB SUMMARY: Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers or materials to and from Salvation Army activities. Other duties include working in the warehouse and loading, unloading and sorting items.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items to include money, mail, and food donations as needed.
Delivers/picks-up mail to/from the post office.
Performs safety check before leaving on route.
Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers.
Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space.
Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use.
Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.
Cleans vehicle of any trash and enforces rules of no eating or drinking on the bus.
Logs all mileage on standard forms; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same; prepares and submits route sheets upon arrival at the building.
Minimum Qualifications Valid Drirvers License Good Driving Record
