The Asia Foundation seeks a Program Assistant to provide direct program and administrative support to the Programs unit, particularly to the Assistant Director, Programs and Grants Manager for private fundraising, Programs. The candidate will conduct web-based and desk research on public and private donors for The Asia Foundation’s programs, assist in managing grant files for private donors, some editing of proposals and reports, and special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of three years work experience, with strong research, writing skills, and organizational ability. Experience in organizing events, workshops, meetings, etc.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, International Development, Political Science, or related field is required.
OTHER:
Competence in PC applications, experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong research and oral and written communications skills vital. Strong organizational abilities required, including the ability to multi-task. Knowledge and experience in Asia and Asian Pacific issues preferred. Familiarity with databases a plus.
