Development & Marketing ManagerLocation: Oakland, CA JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Development Director, develop and implement the annual campaign plan including donor solicitations, special event management, and corporate giving prospects. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of Bachelors degree with minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience with increasing responsibility relating to non-profit development activities Excellent speaking and writing skills Excellent interpersonal skills; high integrity; ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Knowledge of the Bay Area, generally, and the East Bay, specifically Knowledge of relational databases, preferably Raisers Edge Must be extremely flexible as this position often requires extended workdays, including occasional weekends Valid California drivers license, a clear driving record and personal vehicle insurance coverage Availability of a personal vehicle in good working condition to be used on Agency business PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical fitness with the ability to lift 25 - 35 pounds; this individual should not have the physical restrictions which would impair the individual from safely and efficiently carry out the assigned responsibilities at large venue events. Ability to work in place for word processing, data entry and performing other tasks at an ergonomically correct work station for up to four hours in one stretch with periodic breaks. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Responsible for the Annual Fund activities including acquiring, upgrading and managing individual donors and members Plan and manage the annual signature and secondary events Manage and grow the annual campaign activities as they relate to the increase of low and mid-level individual donors. Plan and manage online marketing campaigns Help to plan and execute a donor communications strategy and calendar Speak on behalf of Lincoln at all appropriate internal and/or external (?) events Plan and execute annual direct mail and phone solicitation campaigns Coordinate the production of appropriate collateral materials, direct mail and special event materials Provide support for grant writing and institutional giving activities Support other fundraising and marketing activities as warranted by the staffing structure Help develop and manage appropriate budgets Manage appropriate vendors OTHER FUNCTIONS: Attend required meetings and events Follow Agency policies and procedures Participate in Agency in-service training program Understand and follow all Lincoln Child Center safety policies and procedures Perform all job duties safely Attend all required safety training sessions Identify and immediately report all workplace hazards, safety rule violations, near misses, and work-related injuries Perform other duties as assigned CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, exempt, benefited SCHEDULE: Must be extremely flexible as this position often requires an extended workday, including some evenings and weekends.
