The Family Therapist will offer services to clients and families served in the Skyland Trail Residential and Day Treatment programs. This position will identify areas of need within the family structure and use these areas to develop effective treatment planning for therapy sessions. The Family Therapist is responsible for working with clients and families to identify the goals of the family while supporting a loved one currently involved in treatment services.
This is a PRN position with expected hours of 5-10 hours per week.

Practices within the ethical guidelines of licensing board and Skyland Trail

Ability to document status of therapy in the electronic medical record in a timely manner
Knowledge of crisis intervention and prevention techniques
Ability to apply creative and effective intervention techniques during therapy
Utilizes and adheres to HIPAA standards and Skyland Trail Confidentiality Policy
Ability to practice good customer service skills with all stakeholders
Minimum of a Master's degree in related field (i.e.; Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.) and two (2) + years clinical experience in mental health field. LMFT licensure strongly preferred
Must have current, active licensure in the state of Georgia
Prior experience in providing therapy services in a setting for the treatment of the chronically mentally ill
Prior experience in facilitating family therapy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
