Bilingual Match Support Specialist


POSITION PURPOSE
The primary function of this position is to provide match support to ensure child safety, positive impacts for youth, constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers, and a strong sense of affiliation with the Agency on the part of volunteers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Continually assess the match relationship focusing on: child safety, match relationship development, positive youth development, and volunteer satisfaction.
• Real and/or potential problems and barriers are identified, addressed and resolved as early as possible.
• Develop strategic interventions to identify and strengthen match relationships that require extra support to continue to grow.
• Develop, promote and implement individual and group match activities to support ongoing volunteer involvement with the child and agency affiliation through individualized recognition, ongoing activities and annual events.

EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Social Services, Social Work, Social Science or Education.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Ability to assess relationship development experience with child and adult populations; understanding of child development and school dynamics required.
• Ability to collect meaningful data and draw solid conclusions required.
• Ability to fluently write and speak Spanish is required for this position
• Ability to effectively collaborate with others; use time effectively and focus on details required.
• Must have good administrative, organizational, managerial, and communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service both in-person and via the telephone required.
• Ability to successfully multitask required.
• Ability to fluently write and speak Spanish is preferred for this assignment
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel required.
• Must be a team player.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years social service experience and/or experience working as an educator; Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
