Operations Manager
Job Description .5 FTE

The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall administration of Teaching Artists Organized, and reports directly to the Operations Chair of the executive committee of Teaching Artists Organized. This is a new position; the Operations Manager will have the opportunity to create administrative management systems.

Responsibilities:
• Manages relationship with fiscal sponsor Community Initiatives, included submitting 6-month reports, facilitating prompt payment of organizational consultants and reimbursements.
• Keeps and managers organizational budget in consultation with Operations Chair of the executive committee.
• Reports to the executive committee on progress of organizational consultants and organizational financial status.
• Oversees organizational consultants (grantwriters, web developers and workshop leads).
• Develop internal systems for processing payments, reviewing financial documents, tracking grant agreements and reporting to funders, community initiatives, and executive committee.
• Coordinates meeting logistics for member events when needed, in collaboration with the membership coordinator.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with or knowledge of the field of teaching artistry
• Experience budgets, budgeting and budget management
• Excellent attention to detail and administrative skills
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to be flexible during a time of organizational transition.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 5 years administrative experience in the nonprofit field.

This is presently a 20 hour a week non-benefit—work from home job—as the organization grows so will the position. With the effective growth there are benefit’s options in the future. Salary at present is $30 dollars an hour 20 hours a week.
