The Director, Digital Fund Development and Alumnae Engagement is responsible for increasing financial support and engagement among audiences critical to the future of the Girl Scout Movement and Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA), including alumnae and current and potential donors. Acquiring, soliciting and engaging an increasing number of the 59 million and growing Girl Scout alumnae in the United States and the 50 million plus cookie buyers is a major aspiration of the Movement. The Director develops effective strategies and tactics to acquire and retain alumnae and donors and implements online and digital engagement and solicitation of these and other constituents. She/he works with internal GSUSA stakeholders, council colleagues and external vendors to conceive, design, produce, maintain and analyze digital platforms, networks channels, and campaigns in support of overall constituent engagement and fundraising strategies. The incumbent has strong emphasis on digital development – raising funds to support GSUSA’s alumnae and donor engagement and coordinating GSUSA's ongoing digital support of multiple mission critical fundraising initiatives and activities across e-CRM platforms.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years’ demonstrated online fundraising experience and a demonstrated proficiency with a wide range of digital fundraising tools and an understanding of multi-channel fundraising activities and messaging.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using data management and e-CRM systems in fundraising, with emphasis on understanding the importance of digital campaigns
• Demonstrated experience in strategic and tactical planned fundraising strategies; with a solid track record of successfully selecting, developing and managing alumnae and donors engagement and increasing both engagement and support.
• Proven track record and familiarity with digital tools and technologies, including direct mail, online channels, web interfaces, database management, XML, social networking, e-CRM, and other systems and digital environments.
• Solid customer relationship marketing, acquisition and retention management experience all within an online setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work in high-pressure situations, and work collaboratively in a team setting with others in Fund Development, Marketing and across the organization.
• Excellent organizational skills and managing multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail and strong follow-through.
• Creative thinker with a track record of meeting deadlines and overseeing projects from concept through completion.
• Excellent people management skills including project management, vendor management and cross-functional team management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated presentation/public speaking expertise
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Raiser’s Edge or similar database system.
• Travel approximately 20 percent of the time
• Bachelor’s degree in related area, equivalent relevant experience; Master’s degree desirable
