This position is responsible for the delivery of services to the medically underserved of Gwinnett County and surrounding areas. The position involves patient health care in a clinical program and requires the knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with general practitioner activities.
Reports To: Executive Director and by extension, the Medical Director
Essential Functions
1. In collaboration with Medical Director and Executive Director, manages Center’s clinical operations. 2. Fulfills all responsibilities assigned or delegated by the Medical Director. 3. Represents Center and interacts with local medical, professional and community groups. 4. Works with Executive Director to recruit and develop staff. 5. Maintains compliance with governmental regulations and industry requirements. 6. Mentors and precepts staff, volunteers and students. 7. Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high quality patient care. 8. Provides direct treatment to a patient case load, such case load as determined sufficient by the Executive Director. 9. Remains a member in good standing with professional associations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest health care trends and developments. 10. Other duties as may be agreed upon with the Medical Director and Executive Director.
