Job Title: Camp Program Manager: EnviroVentures Spring Break Camp
Location: Piedmont Park, Atlanta GA


Summary: Piedmont Park Conservancy’s successful EnviroVentuers Spring Break Camp is in need of a Program Manager for the 2013 spring break camp season. This is a new role, the right candidate will be able to commit to a minimum of 4 weeks of with the Conservancy. Hours need not be traditional with the exception of Spring Break Camp Week. Seeking a 'camp person' to develop program content, assist with staff hiring and handle all administrative responsibilities for the program.

Basic Duties
• Develop Activities for Spring Break Camp Week focusing on Environmental Education
• Oversee program outfitting of supplies and educational tools for counselor use
• Hire Camp Counselors and Supervisors to administer program in partnership with Director
• Work with HR to process and screen all new employees.
• Train Camp staff in curriculum and responsibilities
• Manage enrollment responsibilities & general administrative tasks with online registration software.
• Manage seasonal hires
• Create Parent Newsletter & Communications
• Submit Payroll information to finance
• Act as the ‘face’ of the program with camper Parents & Conservancy staff.

Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Education, Ecology, Biology, Environmental Education or related field.
• Experience working with children in a camp, after school or school setting
• Experience managing subordinate staff.
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for Environmental Education
• Familiar with curriculum creation and planning
• Skilled in verbal and written communication

Preferred Traits:
• Experience with Staff Management
• CPR & First Aid Certified
