The Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC) is a membership organization dedicated to the promotion of free and community clinics as providers of quality comprehensive health care for the medically underserved of LA County.
CCALAC is seeking a Director of Health Information Technology (HIT) who will manage the HIT activities of the association as well as oversee IT support for CCALAC’s offices. The position works collaboratively with regional healthcare organizations and the County of Los Angeles to increase HIT system utilization and effectiveness, and leads all of the association’s HIT-related workgroups and roundtables.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT, healthcare management, business, finance or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience. Also required is experience with both IT and Health IT systems in use in community health centers, as well as experience with basic desktop and network troubleshooting, user groups, systems planning, system strategy, implementation, conversions and/or reconfigurations. An ideal candidate would possess an understanding of database technology tools, and be familiar with clinic payer sources, including Medicaid, the Los Angeles County Healthy Way L.A. program, etc. Experience with group facilitation, training, business analysis and business improvement and/or re-engineering processes is a plus.
