The American Lung Association in Georgia seeks a development manager to lead fundraising initiatives in the Metro Atlanta area. This position is responsible for obtaining local fundraising goals through collaboration with local volunteers and community and corporate leaders. The Development Manager will assist in recruiting and supporting volunteers for area specific fundraising/subcommittee assignments, assisting in promoting the American Lung Association to local community and training volunteers in fundraising techniques.
A bachelor degree with a minimum of 3-5 years verifiable experience is required in non-profit special event fundraising, corporate sponsor fundraising, community outreach, and committee development. Experience in third party fundraising is a plus. Must be a self starter with excellent verbal, writing and computer skills. Extensive local and occasional overnight travel required. Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and reliable transportation. Non smoker.
