Ravenswood Family Health Center is expanding and testing innovative models of primary care delivery. We are excited to announce an opening for a new full-time Grants Manager position. The Grants Manager will be responsible for grants management/development, project evaluation and helping to lay the foundation for new health programs. Qualified candidates will have experience in at least one of the following disciplines: grants, project evaluation, or program management.
GRANTS, DEVELOPMENT, & MANAGEMENT *Develops and maintains up to date list of grant opportunities from government, foundation, and corporate sources. *Works with the DPE Director to develop strategies for assigned grants. *Develops assigned grant applications, including scope of work, data collection methods, timeline, and budget requirements *Maintains RFHC grants report schedule. *Works with key grant program/project staff to develop reports; ensures timely report submission. *Draws on administrative and program staff to identify funding requirements. *Coordinates assembly and delivery of grants. *Maintains electronic and hard copy grant filing systems. *Supports accounting staff in preparing documents for audits and financial reporting.
PROJECT EVALUATION and KNOWLEDGEBASE *Works with Decision Support and other key staff to track and maintain grant-related data. *Develops evaluation plans with DPE, program management, and other key stakeholders. *Evaluates and improves upon RFHC project evaluation tools and processes. *Works with the DPE team, program management, Decision Support and Finance to develop evaluation/impact reports for distribution to internal and external stakeholders through work planning and other activities. *Works with DPE Director, Planning Manager, and project staff to kick-off and coordinate new grants project implementation. *Monitors grant implementation and regularly educate and update project staff on grant expectations, timelines, reporting requirements and evaluation methodology. *Ensures regular grant project status updates and outcomes measurement
QUALIFICATIONS *Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university. *Two years grant development, program evaluation, or nonprofit program management experience required. *Strong technical writing skills. *Background in the field of public health and/or health care strongly preferred. *Detail oriented, able to prioritize work and meet key deadlines. *Proficient in Office Suite applications, word processing, database management, and project planning. *Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and community groups. *Desire to work to support health access for medically indigent individuals and families. *Experience working in a multi-cultural setting. *Enthusiasm for constant learning and new challenges. *Ability to collaborate and work effectively with the management team, patients, the public, community members and external agencies. *Background in graphic arts/design a plus.
