WHYY's communications department is seeking a result-driven individual to recommend, develop and implement traditional and new media marketing strategies and programs to grow audience(s) and sources of revenue for WHYY programs and services. Primary responsibilities include conducting analytical assessments of existing marketing efforts, reviewing trends in the marketplace, creating online and social media marketing initiatives, managing budget(s) and performing analysis and research. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to work with the Executive Director of Communications and Brand Management, communications and membership departments, key stakeholders, and others contacts both inside and outside the organization. The ideal candidate must possess thorough knowledge of marketing principles with a minimum of three (3) years experience in consumer acquisition marketing position, understanding of SEO, e-marketing, and key online marketing metrics such as Google Analytics; experience working with agencies, vendors and partners with a proven track record of online marketing and customer acquisition strategy development and management are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database systems are required; knowledge of website analytics is a plus. This position may require long hours and local travel to plan and attend community events and campaigns.
