It's time to grow! College Park First United Methodist Church is searching for a dynamic, full-time Director who can help us grow our year-round preschool and extended care program known as The Learning Academy of College Park. The director is responsible for the success of the Academy, leading and supervising staff to ensure that the needs of children and families are met, that the school is in compliance with all licensing requirements, and that financial resources are appropriately managed and regularly accounted for. S/he will develop a plan to grow the school, upholding the reputation of the school as an affordable, high-quality program in the community and marketing the school to increase enrollment. Working with the church and preschool council, the director will develop and implement policies, procedures and protocols that maintain the highest possible standards for care and learning. Applicants must have at least a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development or a closely related field and five or more years of documented professional experience working with young children (birth-age 5) in a licensed child care center or school (including time as center administrator).
