Preschool Manager
Learning Links is an inclusive preschool where classrooms are designed to foster the educational development of all students regardless of ability. The Preschool Manager is responsible for the operational oversight and management of day to day functions of the inclusive preschool and all preschool staff, and to ensure that Learning Links fulfills its philosophy and its mission as a high quality inclusive preschool.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Supervise day-to-day operations of preschool, general education preschool staff and programming, and ensure compliance with Community Care Licensing requirements (policies, documentation, student file maintenance, etc.)
•Plan, implement, and track results of recruitment strategies for student enrollment
•Oversee enrollment process from start to finish, including tours, cultivation of new prospects, and management of waiting list and current enrollment schedule.
•Manage parent/family relations and serve as point person for Learning Links families
•Orient new families, manage parent communication, and create opportunities for parent involvement
•Attend parent conferences and IEP meetings in coordination with teachers and services providers when appropriate
•Participate in the NAEYC accreditation process
•Implement DRDP assessments for all general education children in the program
•Oversee preschool cost spending, staff scheduling and staff/student ratios
•Maintain substitute pool list and schedule when needed
•Attend various preschool functions and appropriate community meetings
•Implement administrative policies and procedures, and update forms, etc.
•Ensure availability of current Preschool Handbook; including revisions as needed, to ensure both staff and families are aware of all policies and procedures related to the preschool
•Facilitate Parent Advisory Committee projects and meetings
•Conduct performance evaluations for all general education preschool teachers and aides
•Manage, mentor and support teachers with classroom and curriculum needs
•Support recruitment and responsible for the orientation of all new general education preschool staff
•Keep apprised of current education requirements for all preschool staff and ensure compliance
•Lead preschool staff meetings in conjunction with Special Education Preschool Manager
•Foster staff development as it relates to teaching philosophies for inclusive education, and facilitate professional development workshops and seminars for staff
•Assist with the initial screening and identification of developmental concerns in enrolled students, including advising, counseling, and referring families to appropriate services
•Write letters of recommendation for students (as needed) in coordination with teachers
•Contribute to the planning and development of the annual school calendar
•Assist with developing strategies for preschool enrichment classes and program expansion
