The Atlanta Intown Theatre Partnership is currently seeking an experienced professional to serve as Executive Director who will lead a significant fundraising campaign and manage day to day activities of the partnership. The Executive Director will work in collaboration with the Board of Directors to secure major gifts from Individual Donors, Corporations, and Foundations. S/he must be a self-starter with a proven track record of organizational leadership and successful fundraising. S/he will develop strategies for achieving fundraising goals, meet with donors and prospective donors to create and foster relationships, meet with leaders in the foundation and corporate community to test strategies for this new partnership, and create a balanced funding mix of donor sources and solicitation programs tailored to the needs of the organization. S/he will take the lead in these efforts and manage board and volunteer support needed to reach goals. Duties include the cultivation, solicitation and acknowledgement of donations including the creation of proposals and applications; ensuring the reporting, forecasting and accuracy of donor records; creating or approving messaging regarding the organization and its programs. S/he will work collaboratively with the Partners to “prospect” for new donors or opportunities to increase donations from existing donors. Partners are expected to participate in, organize and support key activities including but not limited to volunteer events, promotions and cultivation activities. S/he will have the experience and ability to adapt to changes in organizational structure and needs. Long-range planning experience is a plus. The Executive Director maintains and reports performance metrics towards specific annual goals. There may be other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Board.

The Atlanta Intown Theatre Partnership, Inc. (AITP) was created in 2012 through the joint efforts of Actor’s Express, The New American Shakespeare Tavern, Horizon Theatre Company, 7 Stages, and Theatrical Outfit to expand resources for its member theatres in order to create a sustainable theatre community and a more vibrant city. Since then, AITP has worked collaboratively to raise unrestricted operating dollars so that together they might serve a broad and diverse audience. The Partnership is currently supported by a major gift from The Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta.
