The Membership Associate plays a key role in the Member Audience Services department. This fulltime position is responsible for management of the thank-you gift process and related systems to ensure member satisfaction and cost-effective business practices. The position holder will conduct data entry, reporting, purchasing, tracking, and monitoring of inventory management through a web based member database (TeamApproach) and the fulfillment house system. Major duties include researching premium options for membership campaigns, negotiating best station cost directly with vendors, tracking expenses and managing backorders on a daily basis. The position will support member service operations and revenue goals by responding to emails and working in an inbound call center. A minimum of two years experience specializing in inventory management and a strong customer service background are required; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on preparing reports in Excel is also required. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in business and familiarity with basic accounting functions is preferred. To be successful in this position one should possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate internally with various departments and outside vendors, maintain strong relationships, and be open to accept constructive criticism. Early mornings, late nights, and weekends are routine in this position. A valid driver's license is required for local travel as needed.
