POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Nobis Works seeks an action-oriented Public Relations specialist to create and manage social media content for websites, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media outlets; develop collateral materials such as brochures, annual reports, videos, trade show exhibits; strategize and pitch media on behalf of the organization and more. The PR Specialist will deliver measurable results to help build the brand for this mission-oriented nonprofit organization.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Develop and execute the company’s social media strategy
 Write, edit & distribute monthly eNewsletter and periodic online flyers,
post cards and more
 Serve as staff photographer
 Develop and pitch press releases and other press materials
 Respond to media requests for information
 Write, edit and work with production companies to produce videos
 Identify and apply for appropriate awards
 Submit and maintain on-line listings, directory listings and guides
 Must maintain a good attendance record
 Other duties and projects as assigned

EDUCATION/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
 Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism or marketing
 1 to 3 years’ strong social media, public relations and media relations experience
 Highly proficient in social media tools/trends/results
 Strong journalism skills/proven experience in writing in a wide variety of formats, including in-depth knowledge of Associated Press style
 Excellent verbal and written communications skills
 Organized, results-oriented, self-motivated team player
 Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and deal with multiple deadlines
 Ability to work under limited supervision
 Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet-based research
 Clean background, MVR & drug test

SKILLS PREFERRED:
Proficiency in MailChimp and SalesForce.com/Foundation are highly desired
Solid experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
