Senior Associate Job Announcement
The National Equity Project assists school districts and other education organizations deliver on the promise of a quality education for every child. We provide unique services to educators and others who serve vulnerable populations by developing leadership to foster racial and social equity, to improve organizational effectiveness and design, thus making significant changes to eliminate opportunity and achievement gaps. We are a fast-paced, growing organization that serves partners in 8 states.
This position has three primary responsibilities: 1) To plan, lead and manage the implementation and delivery of National Equity Project Services in order to make progress on our mission with a portfolio of clients; 2) To contribute to strategic business and programmatic development required to grow and to sustain the organization, including developing new and retaining existing contract business; and 3) To participate in and contribute to advancing the intellectual capital of the organization.
Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Provide coaching, services coordination and effective delivery to assigned clients and projects.
-Provide direction and support to program staff to ensure work is being completed to standard for assigned clients.
-Manage project teams to deliver contracted services for assigned clients.
-Convene team meetings to track implementation and monitor progress towards stated contract outcomes using project management tools.
-Regularly complete project time tracking for purposes of billing and operational integrity.
Partnership and Contract Development
-Identify new clients and retain existing clients to generate contract business for the organization.
-Meet annual individual sales/contracting targets in support of larger team and organizational targets.
-Develop proposals, generate contracts, and complete contracting process for new and renewing clients.
-Minimum 5 years’ experience as manager of complex, high profile projects.
-Ability to travel in order to deliver services to national clients.
-Knowledge of urban education reform theory and practice highly desirable.
-High-level ability to collaborate with others inside and outside the organization on portfolio of complex projects, balancing multiple demands and deadlines with composure.
-Comfortable working in multi-racial, culturally diverse settings.
-Results-oriented, achievement-driven approach to tasks.
-Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
-Ability to work independently and take initiative.
-Demonstrated ability to consistently renew existing clients
-Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
-Ability to provide coaching and technical assistance as the project lead.
