ANNUAL FUND MANAGER
Spirit Rock is an internationally known Insight Meditation retreat center in Marin County, CA (located 19 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge) that offers a range of classes, events, and residential meditation retreats. Spirit Rock is located on a beautiful campus with offices/facilities on 400 acres of land and a staff of approximately 50.
The Annual Fund Manager develops, implements and manages the execution of a high quality relationship-building, fully integrated, multi-channel Annual Fund program: including but not limited to strategic identification, qualification, and cultivation activities for prospects and direct personal solicitation; mail, email and online solicitation efforts; managing volunteers throughout the fundraising process and throughout the year; innovative use of events; using Raiser’s Edge to manage segmentation, compile lists, manage donor contact and information; produce annual fund analysis and reports; and generally establish creative ways to engage donors and fundraising volunteers.
Required qualifications include: three to five years of development experience; knowledge of annual fund development principles and practices; a donor-centric and relationship-building approach to fundraising; a professional demeanor with exceptional interpersonal skills; fundraising database experience; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; fundraising volunteer management experience; well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to take responsibility for and follow through on projects assigned in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment; strong computer skills and experience, including MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and fundraising database software (Raiser’s Edge experience preferred). Experience with Spirit Rock’s programs, mission, and practices preferred.
