Our client, a $6M non-profit focused on youth development, headquartered in southern New Jersey, serves its membership through regional offices, a strong volunteer workforce and a committed and strategic Board of Directors. Focused on the need to broaden its diversity and audience in today’s environment while continuing to concentrate on its core values, our client is seeking to replace its retiring Chief Executive Officer to continue to drive the strategy. The Chief Executive Officer and his/her leadership team, will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the achievement of the organization’s mission, in partnership with the Board of Directors; also providing direction and guidance in the development of goals and objectives to support the business strategy within the framework of the organization’s policies and standards.
The successful candidate will most likely offer a minimum of 10 to 15 years’ leadership experience within complex, membership focused organizations that have shown growth, outreach and community visibility. Prior management across all disciplines including financial, operations, development and human resources is required; involvement in developing and implementing a strategic plan; and evidence of change management skills as the organization continues to evolve. A strong knowledge of and success in fundraising activities, specifically cultivation and retention of major donors together with foundation and corporate support will be expected.
