OVERVIEW
The Board of Directors of Donaldina Cameron House is actively seeking a resourceful, visionary, and inspirational executive leader. This new leader will serve as the public face of the organization in the community, building and maintaining effective relationships with donors and supporters, community based organizations, and government agencies, while providing staff leadership in effective program delivery.
Located in the heart of San Francisco’s Chinatown, Cameron House’s mission is to empower people to fully participate in and contribute positively toward a healthy society. Cameron House creates a safe and nurturing environment by providing counseling, group support, and crisis intervention, and enables active involvement in the community through leadership development, education, and advocacy. Position Summary
The Executive Director oversees Cameron House’s multi-disciplinary social services programs, its $1.9M budget, and the financial and administrative systems that support them. As the lead spokesperson for the agency with government and foundation funders, donors, and collaborating agencies, the Executive Director advocates for policies and funding that address the needs of clients and their families. Cameron House is a former Presbyterian mission and maintains close ties with the Presbyterian Church in Chinatown and the Executive Director must be comfortable assuming leadership of an organization that integrates and expresses Christian faith in its programs and activities.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The new Executive Director is a facilitative leader and skilled administrator. S/he is thoughtful and listens well; inspires respect and trust; is results oriented and assures accountability to goals and objectives. An expert problem solver in a team environment s/he should be able to manage change through clarity and collaboration; should provide clear guidance and direction on all financial issues; and should be able to forge and sustain productive relationships with the local community, donors, peer organizations, government entities, foundations, and other supporters.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for the position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and parking.
