Vice President of Development
The University City Science Center seeks nominations and applications for the position of Vice President of Development, a newly created position. Founded in 1963, the Science Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is the oldest and largest urban research park in the United States. The Science Center’s activities are overseen by a board of directors elected by a group of 31 of the leading colleges, universities, hospitals and research institutions throughout the tri-state region.
The Vice President of Development will serve as a member of the management team and report to the President and CEO. The Vice President of Development will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to all aspects of private fundraising, including corporate, foundation and individual giving.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred. The Vice President must be an experienced fundraising professional, with business acumen and a commitment to the mission of the Science Center. Management experience and a demonstrated ability to foster effective collaboration among diverse and wide-ranging constituencies are required. The Vice President of Development must be an effective leader and communicator.
