
Walk Manager-Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis
POSITION SUMMARY: Walk Manager will be responsible for strategic planning, implementation and creative thinking to execute CCFA’s walk campaign, Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis for the Georgia Chapter. This position will provide leadership, vision and support to chapter volunteers to help maximize growth potential of the campaign.
REPORTS TO: National Events Director or Manager and Deputy Regional Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop and implement a three year strategic plan to show significant revenue growth in Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis
• Identify, recruit and mobilize business and community leaders to serve as volunteers and sponsors
• Partner with business and community leaders to implement Corporate Revenue committee structure
• Develop and implement annual operational plan that includes detailed budget, team development, corporate development, volunteer development and logistic plans
• Identify target audiences and build appropriate marketing strategies to recruit, acknowledge and retain event participants and sponsors
• Develop a marketing and promotional plan to enhance visibility and increase community awareness and participation in Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis
• Create and maintain timelines, budgets and logistical needs for campaign events
• Manages and assures the development of campaign materials required for the success and implementation of Take Steps events
• Provides staff support for volunteers, participants and committees required for the success of Take Steps
• Tracks income and expenses associated with Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis

OTHER FUNCTIONS;
• Maintains working knowledge of CCFA and its programs to address the mission of the organization
• Attend all chapter Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis Walks
• Follow all campaign policies, procedures and best practices
• Assure proper use and management security and upkeep of CCFA facilities, equipment and documents
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College graduate with relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years event management experience; walk and/or business development experience preferred
• Proven track record in new business and volunteer development
• Significant skills in planning, budgeting, and volunteer development
• Excellent computer skills
• Available to work evenings and weekends
• Self starter
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Capable of building and sustaining relationships with a variety of individuals and businesses
• Flexible and adaptable
• Sense of humor
• Articulate in person and on the phone
• Meticulous attention to detail
