Cathedral Square is seeking a Director of Development who is passionate about affordable housing and community development. He/she will be responsible for the development direction and execution of Cathedral Square’s affordable rental housing projects. Projects will include new development, re-development of existing projects that are scheduled for major improvements and/or change in operations, and technical assistance to other organizations seeking CSC’s expertise with service enriched housing. He/she will be responsible for staff oversight, coordinate and monitor outside contractors, maintain and strengthen existing funder relationships and alliances.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Community Development, Business, liberal arts or related field and at least five years experience with affordable housing development. A comprehensive understanding of federal and state housing programs including the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program and HUD Supportive Housing programs. Experience in real estate negotiations and purchase. Must possess good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in complex partnerships. Must possess working knowledge of Excel or Quattro Pro spreadsheets. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
