C5 Georgia is looking for a part-time,contract, special event planner to manage the C5 Georgia Golf Tournament and assist with other small fundraising events as needed.
The mission of C5 Georgia is to change the odds for high-potential youth from risk-filled environments, inspiring them to pursue personal success, and preparing them for leadership roles in college, work and their communities.
The ideal candidate will:
•Have three to five years event planning and/or fundraising; experience managing a golf tournament or working in a non-profit environment a plus
•Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects efficiently and effectively in fast-paced work environment
•Proven ability to educate, motivate, and support volunteers and individuals to accomplish successful events and fundraising goals
•Exceptional customer service experience providing support to volunteers, donors and sponsors
•Independent self-starter as well as team player
•Enjoys working with a wide variety of people including donors, volunteers, vendors, Board members and staff
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills
•Computer and Internet literacy, and Microsoft Office programs
•Experience with donor database software programs and online fundraising platforms a plus.
The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of the Development and Special Events Manager to:
•Create and implement the plan and ensure the successful execution of the C5 Georgia golf tournament, including development and execution of project plan, timeline, and adherence to budget
•Plan tournament logistics
•Coordinate all collateral deemed a benefit to sponsors; sponsor solicitations and communications- electronic, web-based and hard copy
•Support silent & live auction
•Manage vendor contracts; confirm speakers, organize program; manage registration and sponsorships; reconcile revenue and expenses for golf tournament
•Provide strong customer service, support and technical assistance to the board members planning and implementing fundraising events.
•Coordinate efforts among staff, local and national sponsors, board members, volunteers, and vendors in relation to the tournament
•Provide weekly progress reports to supervisor and organization leading to tournament
•Manage event day
•Evaluate and provide post-event communication with event organizers, including revenue and acknowledgment, distributing gifts, creating and implementing satisfaction surveys.
•In conjunction with the Development Associate, manage registration, registration database includingpayment collection
•Assist in other small event planning as needed
