Sr. VP of Programs and Chapter Member Services
A Nationally recognized Mentoring organization is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President of Programs and Chapter Member Services.
This position is located in the National Office of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. (the "100"), Atlanta, Georgia. The Vice President for Programs and Chapter Member Services will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Staff assigned to this position will develop relevant program models; provide specific programmatic consultation, training, promotional, educational, and other technical services to assist chapters and (when indicated) our strategic partners (corporate, foundation, national organizations, nongovernmental organizations, and others) when it meets the overarching goals of the 100.
The 100 seeks to continually improve its chapter support and programmatic capabilities. To accomplish this, the staff in this Division must know, communicate with, travel, and offer resources of the National Office to chapters of the 100. The Division has the primary responsibility to coordinate and implement the 100's national capacity building strategies, programs and policies in collaboration with other programmatic and operational components of the 100.
NATIONAL PROGRAM FOCUS
The programs of 100 are primarily implemented by and through Chapters of the 100. The National Office's primary function is to support Chapters with program development and implementation. The program support the National Office provides is focused in four (4) programmatic areas: Mentoring, Education, Health & Wellness and Economic Development. Within each of these four (4) areas, the National staff, working with members of the National Board of Directors, (a) develops program models for Chapter implementation and provides Chapter training and program assessment around those models, (b) increases awareness, through our Chapters, or advocates for positive change as it relates to these four (4) areas, (c) manages and assesses Chapter implementation of programs conceived by the Chapters within these four (4) areas, and (d) manages and assesses collaborations with organizations with missions similar to the 100.
The Vice President of Program & Chapter Member Services primary responsibility will be to have a comprehensive understanding of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.'s (the "100") National Program Focus and to provide support to Chapters of the 100 in their program implementation. This includes:
1.) Plan, develop and manage program implementation and assist with the execution of the programmatic components of the strategic plan.
2.) Serve as liaison between the Vice Chairman of Programs, Four for the Future and Collegiate 100 committee chairs and is the principal point of contact for local chapter program directors and presidents.
3.) Serve as liaison between National office and Local Chapters; Manages programs and chapter member services staff.
4.) Provide advice and technical assistance to Chapters, through written, telephonic assistance and on-site visits.
5.) Assist Chapters in operating their programs according to sound management and programmatic principles to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency
6.) Provide guidance and support to Chapters in training, capacity building, and community intervention programs which include development of specific, measurable objectives and outcomes
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS
The ideal candidate will be an energetic leader and administrator with demonstrated successful Program management experience. S/he will offer:

• Experience in evaluation, fiscal management, and staff management
• Experience in non-profit program management, budget forecasting and analysis
• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Demonstrated capability in planning and coordinating workshops and seminars
• Familiarity with mentoring programs
• Competent in developing program models
• Willing and able to travel in support of chapter program initiatives
• Maintain strict confidentiality of business activities, board of directors & donors
• Experience in elementary/secondary, higher education access a plus.
• Minimum of College Degree and at least 10 years’ experience as a senior manager in a nonprofit and/or business environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
