The Administrative Assistant will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small office of diverse people and programs. The ability to interact with staff, members and guests (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
Full-time NON-EXEMPT; Forty (40) hours per week; May require additional hours and a flexible work schedule.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•Minimum college: Associates Degree;
•3+ years’ administrative support experience;
•Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of meetings;
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to all age groups and
diverse personalities;
•Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills;
•Knowledge of standard secretarial procedures and office management techniques; correct English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading; record keeping and filing systems; general finance and accounting principles; standard office equipment and software applications; principles of Internet research; and effective telephone techniques.
•Effectively coordinate a variety of difficult, technical administrative tasks;
•Experience scheduling travel arrangements for management;
•Proficient computer skills (ACS, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Publisher, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MAC and Windows operating systems, print production photocopy equipment);
•Neat and detail-orientated with strong organization skills.
