JOB DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Agency Director, the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the overall day to day operations and activities of the agency. Directs, administers, and coordinates the internal operational activities of the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the Agency Director and the Board of Directors.
SUPERVISES: Accounting, Facilities Maintenance, Information Technology, and Transportation Depts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Administration or related fields. M.B.A. desirable.
EXPERIENCE: At least five (5) years of Administrative experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job, with emphasis on business practices and personnel aspects of management. At least four (4) years in management experience required.
At least two (2) years experience with multiple-program/department accounting including cost accounting and allocations preferred. Experience in human services organization preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Knowledge of Accounting practices, strong computer skills. Ability to maintain transportation fleet; clear and direct communication; ability to effectively develop and support staff, strong organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal communications, public speaking and presentation skills. Solid working knowledge of budgeting, business development and strategic planning. Ability to generate respect and trust from staff.
