Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the oversight and management of the entire agency. The successful candidate should have the capacity to lead a dynamic fund development effort, or demonstrate the ability to engage a strong development team. The ideal candidate will most likely have solid leadership experience in the human services and/or mental health fields with successful experience in fund development, human resources, administration of grant and contract funded programs, and management of a large diverse staff and wide breadth of programs. The candidate should preferably have a history of involvement in his/her community, experience as a front-line provider of services, and experience collaborating with partners in the community. Recent California experience is preferred, but not essential. A Bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational requirement combined with relevant experience. An advanced degree in social work, public administration, nonprofit management or a related field is strongly preferred.
