Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption is seeking a full time Executive Director. The successful applicant will be responsible for oversight of all shelter and adoption activities and operations. The Executive Director will develop and implement budgets, policies, procedures and strategies to deliver responsible animal care in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The applicant will have the ability to promote the organization to the public and will serve as facility spokesperson in the community. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in non-profit management and leadership. Additionally, the successful applicant will have strong interpersonal relationship skills to include building alliances with community organizations and establishing relationships with patrons, foundations and local businesses. The Executive Director must have a bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education/experience with a minimum of three years experience in a management position with transferable skills such as business, communications, public administration or other related field. Experience in a paid or volunteer position in an animal shelter and/or experience in veterinary medicine is preferred.
