SUMMARY
Title: Government Grants Data Entry/Compliance Intern
Department: Administration/Volunteer

Under the supervision of the Data Manager, the Data Entry /Data Quality Intern reviews case files for integrity /consistency, enters Government Grant related data into the County HMIS Database and various Samaritan House databases, maintains the physical case files, assists the Data Manager in the evaluation of data quality, conducts data exception analysis and makes the appropriate data corrections. This position also assists the Data Manager in other assigned tasks. This position will be on boarded through the Volunteer Department.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree, currently working towards a bachelor’s degree, or a High School Degree with at least 4 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with the use of computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Demonstrated data entry skills including data manipulation, data analysis, data quality assessment, data exception reviews, data cleanup and data entry into various computer software applications.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
• Strong communication skills both written and oral.
• Ability to problem solve in an effective, efficient and timely manner
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Demonstrated use of good judgment under various conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
The Data Entry /Compliance Intern will perform the following tasks:
• Review Government Grant Case Files for program compliance, consistency and integrity.
• Enter case file data into the County HMIS Database application and various Samaritan House Government Grant databases.
• Maintain the official set of physical case files for the government grants.
• Assists in the administration of the processes and forms that make up the case files.
• Analyzes data exceptions and makes the necessary corrections.
• Demonstrates and works within Samaritan House Values in all dealings with Samaritan House constituents including but not limited to clients, staff, leadership team, etc.
• Attend meetings and training as requested
• Other duties as assigned.

This in an unpaid Intern Position and will be on boarded through the volunteer program.
