At Children's Hospital & Research Center Foundation, we have an opportunity for a professional with your experience and expertise.

As the Institutional Giving Officer, you will be responsible for managing a robust portfolio of current funders and identifying specific grant opportunities for all programs of Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland. You will populate an aggressive pipeline that includes potential funders, corresponding capital, program, research need, anticipated solicitation amount and deadline. You will write LOIs, proposals, cover letters and implement cultivation strategies for private, family corporate and community foundations.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree preferred, minimum three years experience in positions with Foundation and Corporate Funders prospect research, analysis and writing responsibilities and minimum of two years experience in a development department of a non-profit institution preferred. The ideal candidate will have outstanding organizational and time management skills and strong research abilities, be deadline driven with an ability to independently drive projects with multiple stakeholders and be able to assess programs and identify those with a strong potential for funding. They will have excellent grant writing skills and the ability to write clear, articulate and persuasive LOIs.
