The successful business manager candidate will be a positive, detail-oriented, versatile, and highly motivated individual with extensive experience and proven skills in all areas of business management. Strong inter-personal skills are required, with an ability to work with a wide cross-section of people within the school community, i.e. teachers, other staff, parents, students, and board members. The business manager is expected to uphold and actively participate in the mission of the school. Candidates with a background in Quakerism or Friends education, or persons who bring diversity to the school, are preferred. The business manager has oversight of the school's accounting, purchasing, payroll, insurance, human resources, enrollment contracts, financial aid, facility management, security and risk management, and technology. The business manager reports to the head of school and serves as a resource to the finance and property committees of the board of trustees to ensure that the school's mission and its operations and sustainability objectives are met.
