Executive Assistant to the Executive Director
The Alameda County Community Food Bank, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to serve as top level administrative support to the Executive Director and the Food Bank’s executive team. The right person will also enjoy serving as liaison to the Board of Directors and find meaning in
proactively moving the work of the Food Bank forward through self-initiated problem solving.
The Executive Assistant will support the senior management team, board and board committees by arranging and preparing materials for meetings and events, taking minutes, preparing reports and tracking projects and events to ensure their accurate and timely completion. Reporting to the Executive Director, this individual will work closely to coordinate calendars and make certain to be fully prepared for meetings and presentations as they arise. The Executive Assistant is an adept team player and must be able to independently prioritize a variety of duties, with
minimum supervision. Success in this position depends on the ability to employ tact, intelligence, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills to achieve the Agency’s goals. A good sense of humor and engagement is a real plus.

Required Qualifications:
 Independent and self-motivated work habits, proactive problem solving skills and research capabilities that will result in solutions and planning for next steps
 High degree of organizational ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities
 High level customer service experience and skill
 Prior supervisory experience
 Attention to detail to ensure correspondence, data, meeting minutes are complete and accurate
 Ability to type 50 wpm with a minimum of errors
 MSOffice Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, any other database programs a plus
 Experience taking meeting minutes at a management level or above; Roberts/Robertas Rules desirable
 Demonstrated ability to perform administrative functions in an accurate, organized and discreet manner
 Ability and interest in working with people of varied educational, ethnic, age and socioeconomic backgrounds
 Own car and valid California driver’s license with good driving record to run errands
 Experience with other Bay Area nonprofits is a real plus.
