Information About OpportunityKnocks Visitors
OpportunityKnocks does collect information about all of our users; such as what area users visit most frequently and what services the users access the most. This data is only used to benefit you, the user. From this data we can determine what is most beneficial to our users and how we can better the users’ experience.
Information about You
In some instances, such as when you enter a resume, enter a contest, or respond to a survey, we may ask for information including, but not limited to the following: name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, etc. We may use this information to alert you of new products and services or upcoming events.
General Information Disclosure
We do not disclose information about our visitors. Any personal information, such as name, address, email address, telephone number, etc. is kept strictly confidential and is not shared with outside parties, except where the law may require it.
Resumes on OpportunityKnocks
As OpportunityKnocks is a career site, you have the option of posting your resume in our database. There are three ways to do this:
- You may post your resume in our database, but not allow it to be searchable. By doing this, your resume will be available for you to apply to jobs online, but recruiters will not have access to search your resume.
- You may post your resume to the searchable database. This allows recruiters who pay for access to our resume database to view your resume. OpportunityKnocks screens these purchases to ensure that the employer is indeed a legitimate nonprofit, recruiter, hiring manager, or human resource professional. However, we are not responsible if a third party, such as someone posing as the aforementioned, pays for the service, evades security measures, gains access to the database, and your resume. You may request that your resume be removed from our database at any time. In some instances, recruiters who have paid for access to the database may have retained your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances. Resumes are set to automatically become inactive after 365 days.
- You may post your resume to the searchable database and make your contact information unavailable for viewing by recruiters.
